Le Croisic town hall protects itself against flooding
The town of Le Croisic recently inaugurated the FlowStop inflatable cofferdam flood protection system.
During high tides, this system has proved its effectiveness, preventing major damage to businesses and homes.
Rising sea levels and recurrent flooding pose a major risk for coastal towns like Le Croisic. Existing infrastructures are often costly and complicated to install, making it difficult to adequately protect public and private property from damage caused by high tides.
That’s why we presented our solution for flood control. Easy to install and dismantle, this inflatable cofferdam is 100% watertight, and adapts to all openings without the need for structural modifications.
What’s more, the system is supported by the Cap à l’abri program, which offers substantial subsidies to help homeowners in flood-prone areas prepare for and better manage the risk of flooding. With FlowStop, Le Croisic is setting an example as a proactive town in the protection of its citizens and infrastructure against climatic hazards.
